Salad Rocket or Plain Rocket (Arugula) has long dark green serrated leaves and the usual peppery flavour associated with rocket. It is quick to crop and so easy to grow, just regularly pick fresh individual leaves as required to ensure new leaves continue to grow.
There is no need for bags of wet limp rocket leaves bought from the supermarket with a little bit of seasonal home sowing fresh rocket leaves can be picked as much or as little as required so there is no waste and certainly more taste.
Mix rocket leaves with other salad leaves to create a mixed salad to complement the meal or your own individual taste. We love rocket leaves piled in the centre of our Pizza like Pizza Express - delish!!
